Following M&A activity and a subsequent divestment in 2011 to focus on managed services, niu Solutions has relocated to St Pauls. Based directly behind Cheapside, within walking distance of St Paul’s and Bank tube stations, and surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, it provides an atmospheric home in London’s square mile.
The HQ, features the company’s integrated ‘cloud office’ proposition, which incorporates Hosted VDI, IPT and Unified Communications. With a nod to niu’s security credentials, senior management have been provided tablets, including iPads, to allow remote access of the desktop via ISO27001 compliant security techniques. Old furniture and equipment was auctioned off to raise money for charity, with £1200 being donated to Macmillan Cancer.
“The new office gives us a fresh start, following the integration of legacy brands from our buy and build phase. The location is central, and the facilities in-keeping with proposition: it has given us an excellent opportunity to rollout many of the technologies we advocate to our clients,” explains Gary Woodward, CEO.
“M&A, divestments, these are challenges all businesses experience, and they take their toll on business infrastructure such as offices and IT/Communications. Moving to a new office, implementing a cloud based IT and communications infrastructure was a logical solution for our business. It feels great to practice what we preach and, furthermore, have a ready-made live demonstration environment for organisations to see the technologies in action.”
