In line with company strategy to focus its portfolio on the delivery of outsourced fully managed services, niu has sold a number of its contracts that are primarily focused on the delivery of commodity services such as broadband, telephony lines and calls, or onsite telephony installations, to Daisy. These contracts are, in the most part, a straight resell of third party services (e.g. carrier services). The transaction allows niu to focus on its key service offerings in hosted IT and IP telephony, cloud-based solutions, and its security and compliance practice.

The decision follows consistent growth in niu’s hosted and managed services business lines. niu will retain all the staff and expertise dedicated to designing, building and managing its hosted and managed IT and telecommunications services. The sale also creates an opportunity for further strategic investment in these areas.
Customers contracted to niu’s hosted and managed services are unaffected by this sale and will benefit from future investment in a range of new product announcements to be made throughout 2011.
niu will maintain continuous dialogue with customers whose contracts are being migrated to Daisy during a three month transition process.
niu will retain all of its current strategic partnerships, refocusing these within its hosted and managed services portfolio.
