Fancy a spin? Image

As an avid sports car enthusiast, I’ve strived to find the perfect car for myself.

I’ve fallen for the flashy adverts, impressive showroom with free coffee and croissants, the endless motoring magazines reviews, and my mate’s recommendations.  I’ve even listened to Jeremy Clarkson on TV telling me “this is the car for you”!

Always looking for the ultimate car, I’ve gone from mainstream hot-hatch to the obligatory badge snobbery of several German marques.

So why, after spending more and more money, each time adding that bit more leather to the interior, more electronic gizmos, more cylinders and power from the engine, and larger alloys with wider rubber, was I still not satisfied?  Yes, each time the car looked more stunning, was faster and more exclusive, but something was missing.

Time to reflect… What was I actually looking for from a sports car?  The result was simple.  I wanted pure performance, with maximum driving feedback.  No compromises.

So now I am the proud owner of a two year old Ariel Atom.  It’s built in Somerset by a small company of around 10 people.  This company fully understands what people like me are after and are passionate about: their cars.  A car that has neither roof, windscreen, or doors: basically, very little bodywork.  No ABS, traction control, heaters, or stereo.  What is does have though is pure performance and driving quality on a huge level.  I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat!

What’s the moral of my search for the perfect driving experience?  Well, it’s that passion, knowledge and expertise will always trump bells, whistles and a glossy veneer.  If you prefer the former from your ICT partner, get in touch and, if the weather is good, I might just bring the Atom to your office.

Fancy a spin..?
